Kat's is low income herself, surviving off food pantries and seeing the food waste lead her down the train tracks deep in the woods to the tent cities. The compassion and determination of the homeless inspire her daily to keep going. Her journey of getting to know the individuals in the tent cities and forming lifelong friendships is a reminder that everyone has a story worth hearing. Through her actions, Kat has shown that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of those around us.

Madison Mehaffey
Madison's extensive experience as a nurse, particularly in emergency rooms and specialized wound care, makes her a valuable asset to any program.
Her compassion and skills are especially useful during the winter months, homeless individuals trying to stay warm, and fires get out of control.
Madison's decision to become a nurse was inspired by her own experience being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and staying in the hospital.
